The Penn State College of Medicine will host the 11th Annual Summit on October 19-20, 2021. The Summit will be held virtually on our Virtual Event Platform, Airmeet.

Wednesday, October 20: 9:30 AM – 2:00 PM

Registration Costs:
$25 for ATRN Members, students, members of community organizations, government agencies, and private foundations

$50 for non- ATRN members

Quantitative research on social connectedness and isolation in Appalachia
Mechanisms of action by which social connectedness and isolation affect health and well-being in Appalachia
Evidence-based programs to address social connectedness and isolation in Appalachia

About the ATRN

The Appalachian Translational Research Network (ATRN) is committed to addressing the significant health challenges and disparities specific to Appalachia by enhancing research collaborations to speed the translation of scientific discoveries to health improvements for this region.

The ATRN seeks to foster Community Engagement and Outreach to those in the Appalachian region. In addition, the ATRN will serve as a conduit for enhancing T1 research collaborations in areas relevant to the chronic health conditions prevalent in Appalachia.
